Musikgarten

You have read my stories about Musikgarten, so I thought I would post a video of how fabulous my class is. Enjoy!

Lily

My name is Elizabeth - it's on my birth certificate (or at least I think it is, Mama and Daddy have not gotten my birth certificate yet) but everyone calls me Lily. For a while I wondered about whether I would rather be known as Elizabeth, but I have decided Lily is it. I have indicated this choice by only answering to Lily; by lighting up when my Musikgarten sings to me as Lily; and generally by being okay with being referred to as Lily.

You may not know, but the name Lily is a nickname from Elizabeth. The current queen is known to her dearest as Lily Beth. Also, there is a beautiful lily bed right in front of my window and as soon as spring comes, there will be many lilies out there for me; maybe even in honor of me.

Visit from the Goggi Grandparents

This week my Gigi and Poppa are in town. Gigi spends a lot of time with me, playing and dancing and reading me stories. I got some presents from my great uncle Brad and my great aunt Debbie: a Fox in Sox and a book about the Fox in Sox. It's good if you get a gift to get a book explaining the Fox in Sox.

Otherwise all is good. Daddy is skiing a lot but pretty soon I will get him all to myself. Then he'll have lots of work to do to get back in the Princess's good graces.

Valentine's Day

Today is my first Valentine's Day. People have sent me presents, Daddy bought me a pink stuffed animal and I am wearing a very cute Valentine's outfit with hearts on it. I like this holiday.

Just to Check In

Today I sat listening to Mama play the piano and Mama is pretty sure that when she plays the Lily chord (or C chord since the C chord has an E, a C, and a G in it - my initials) I sing the correct note. All is good here. Gigi and Poppa are coming to visit on Friday and I can't wait to see them.

Nothing much else to report, except the singular lack of presents in February. Seriously, where are the devotee gifts???

Yuck!!! Peas.

Okay, for the record, I do NOT like peas. As it turns out, Mama tells me, neither does Nana, so that's interesting. But I do not like them. It doesn't matter how you drive the plane into the hangar, I'm not going to want them in my mouth!

Sweet Potatoes

Okay, today Mama fed me something orange and yucky for breakfast. Thank God she gave me formula first. I mean seriously, am I expected to eat this orange crap?!? What was she thinking!!!

Luckily for me I have two puppies and they sat on either side of me so I would just stick my hand in my mouth, pull out the offending orange crap and feed it to the puppies. For some reason they thought it was fabulous.

Mama just kept laughing, I think she's insane.

Today I had rice cereal for the first time. I ate it. Sucked on the spoon. Enjoyed it. I'm ready for some more solid foods. And my dish was so fabulous!!!
