Grandpa's Visit

My Grandpa came to visit this week. First things first - the first morning he was here, I got him up at 730am to paint a birdhouse.

Then the next day we went to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum which was super cool! We had pizza for dinner and rode on the train.

Then we went to Home Depot to find a pole for our birdhouse, which we put up in the backyard. Best part of spring is the birds. We watched for hours to see if there were any bird residents but thus far, empty.

The last day he was here we went to the Zoo. We saw monkeys and elephants and birds and giraffes and tigers - here I am on the train - loving life!

My parents are very enamored with my younger brother, whom they think is very cute. They also think we have nothing in common. But when we watch this video, we see me dancing just like my brother.

Slides, Slides, Slides

We went to a farm this weekend. I went down many slides. I also chose to have my ice cream in a Cincinnati Reds baseball cap. Luckily Daddy was not with us, or I may have been in trouble.

Bad Soccer

Rough game this week for Big Blue. Look at the size of that girl, number 6! Seriously?!?

We never even made it past half field - not a good day for the soccer player.

Soccer!!!

Today I started soccer. Here I am stealing this ball from the pink player. My number is 2 and I am very good at dribbling the ball down the field. I am not, however, really sure with what to do with the ball once I get it down field. I will try to score a goal next week. Mostly, I love my outfit.

Ladybug Birthday Party

About a month ago I had my 4th birthday party. It was a ladybug theme - I love ladybugs. I am already planning my next birthday party - which will be a bumblebee theme. I love my birthday!

What I did For Summer

I went to New York with my family. We traveled through many states: Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and finally New York. And then we traveled back. I had fun meeting family and riding in the car.

Here I am on a carousel for little kids at Hoffman's Playland. I went on all the rides myself that I could go on alone.

Princess Cowboy

I attended a fairy tale ball - my prince (Daddy) wore a suit. But when I got there, all dressed up with my glass slippers and crown, I just had to ride a horse. Princesses are cowboys too, right?

Grown Up

A couple of weeks ago I told my hairdresser I would like a "grown up" haircut, Here it is from the front, looking pretty much like it did before.

The real difference is in the back, which is a shaped bob. I look very cute and grown up.

Yesterday Momma and Daddy took me to see my first "grown up" movie in the theatre - we saw Tangled, we ate nachos and cheese (Great Grandma would have had a heart attack about that), we sat in a chair that would not stay down because I do not weigh enough or or my legs are not long enough to hold it down, we were amazed by the big screen and the big sound ("it's too loud, Momma").

I am so excited to do all these neat new grown up things!

Christmas Decorating

I love Christmas. I love the tree, I love the village, I love the lights. I have only broken three things so far, so I am doing better than last year.

Wedding Girl

I was a flower girl in my Aunt Michele's wedding. Here I am - at the reception, demonstrating my mad flower girl skills!!!

Fair

I went to the fair with Grandma Darlene and we had fun!!! At the end of the day I was thirsty - and tired - but it was great!!

My Birthday

I turned 3 on July 25 - but I haven't been blogging since it's summer, and who can stay inside during summer to spend any time on the computer? My birthday was a Disney extravaganza - and here I am showing off my glass slippers and Snow White outfit!

Sometimes

Sometimes the world is best looked at when you're leaning at an angle. All sorts of new ideas come into your head - like, why would I play with any of the fabulous toys in my room when I can play with chopsticks and the wok and the cheese cutter.

My First Race

Momma and I ran a race together - my first race! We did the one mile fun run but we ended up coming in right at the end with all the runners who did the 5K - it was so exciting! I did most of the walking, basically being in the stroller only for little bits at a time. We did the race for the cure - participating with most of our Utah tribe. I really liked how it was only girls - no boys allowed!

Movie Watching

Here's how I watch a movie. I sleep while my friends watch. I LOVE sleeping - except at bedtime, then it's just a pain.
